On December 18, 2018, the German Java magazine JAVAPRO, issue 03/2018, has published the first part of my three-part article series, titled “Deep-Dive into Annotations”. This first part covers the five standard annotations of Java (i.e., @Override, @SuppressWarnings("unchecked"), @Deprecated, @FunctionalInterface, and @SafeVarargs) and gives a detailed explanation of their backgrounds.
